Year-end update

Well, I know it's been a while and there's been a lot going on so I'll attempt to summarize everything.

My first seminary class is almost behind me. I have one more week-end and at least one more paper to write. I've learned a lot already and am looking forward to using what I've learned in the Bible Study Methods class in my next class. I've stuggled with letting my assignments take the place of my personal quiet times so that's one thing I need to do better with. I am learning and growing through my assignments but need to make sure my personal time with God doesn't take a back seat to school work. I've had the opportunity to learn about certain books of the Bible that I previously didn't know much about, such as, Philemon, Habakkuk, and Esther.

Also, as a prayer request, my oldest son Garrison has been talking about and asking questions about being saved. Last Sunday he was saying that when he dies he wants to make sure he goes to Heaven and not Hell. At age 7 it's very black and white and I'm glad he's thinking a lot about it.

As far as all the other children go, Ashlynn still makes cakes from time to time for people. She enjoys it and does a great job. So if anyone would like a cake for any occassion just let me know. She sometimes toys with the idea of starting a little cake business. Amber is doing well. She is a tremendous help around here like all the other children. Amber has been taking piano for a while now with 4 of her siblings and she has really taken off and plays with such ease and beauty. I remember the days when they just started piano and I thought I would go crazy with all the banging going on. Now it is such a joy to hear beautiful music coming from their hard work. Loren has been really interested in sign language and has been learning very quickly. Several of us have been learning but Loren has really excelled and has interpreted one song as church and will be doing more during the Christmas holiday. Usually her mouth goes non-stop, now her hands are non-stop. Kenzie has suddenly shown a real talent in drawing. She loves to look at objects and draw them. We're sure this talent could only come from God know how bad Angie and I are at art. Garrison is his usual active self. He's growing up and turning into a fine gentleman. Now we just have to teach him to clean his fingernails. ha ha. Anna Kate is growing into a beautiful young lady. She absolutly loves dressing up in dresses and being a Mom to her dolls. She spends a great deal of time in her own little world and it's so fun to watch. Ryan is 3 now and is just as active as Garrison. He spends time sword fighting and always has at least one HotWheels car in his hand. Bethany is such a blast with her smile and giggling. She has even learned a little sign language. Her personality is so much fun and the entire family just loves her to pieces.

Angie is now about 3 weeks away from delivering our 9th child (10th if you count our first that we lost, which the kids usually count). This will be our 7th daughter, Brooklynn Noel Anders. Angie has been amazing and very tired at the same time. We still homeschool the children so she keeps very busy. At this point in the pregnancy she's stuggling to do most things but the light is at the end of the tunnel.

I'll try to post current pictures of everyone soon. I have lost all my pictures off of my computer so I'll try to get more soon. I have posted a picture of my brother. Please pray for him and his family. He is in Iraq until next October and his famil is at Ft. Benning, Ga. It will be a long year for them so please pray for his safety and the safety of all the soldiers.

Thank you for your interest in reading all this rambling about my family. I am very blessed by God and am very thankful to Him for everything. Please leave comments and let us know about your family and how you are doing.

I'm glad ya'll are all doing well. I'm praying for your family, and for your brother as well. My son is really thinking Air Force, so praying for those in the military is taking on a whole new meaning for me. He's a junior in high school, my oldest, and we too home school. He's the oldest of 5, and my only son. I'm Janet Thompson's friend, Heather. She talks VERY highly of Angie!
