Meeting interesting people.

Over the last couple of days we have had the opportunity to meet some very interesting people. Sunday we spent the day in Lenoir City listening to Ken Hamm speak. If you're not familiar with him, he founded Answers in Genesis which built the Creation museum in Ky. He was very interesting talking about creation and how the Bible is the foundation for everything. I knew that about the Bible, but the way he explained how everything fits together was very interesting. Things like genetics, marriage, fossils, explaining interesting things about Noah's ark, etc. It was very much a learning experience and a convicting one as well as he challenged all of us about how we view things. Are we view everything from a Biblical foundation or are we mixing in man's thinking with God's word.

Also, last night we were able to meet a family who are missionaries in Russia. They are staying at my Mom and Dad's house for a couple of days so we went over to visit with them and hear what's going on in Russia. They have 3 children and the oldest one is a girl who is 15 so our older girls like talking with her. Now they have a pen-pal in Siberia. I'm not sure how long it takes for mail to get to Siberia so they'll probably do more e-mailing than snail-mailing. The Dad's name is Ken Stevens and he's a strategic planner in Siberia coming up with master plans to start churches and other mission acitivities in their community. The pictures were beautiful. The only problem I would have living there is going to the out-house in -40 degree weather. Please pray for the Stevens family.
