My brother Mike is finally home from his year deployment in Iraq. Our family is very blessed by God's provision and protection as He brings Mike home safely to his family. Most of all we are blessed that Mike and Elaine have such a strong faith in God that is a solid foundation in their lives. This was made even more clear to me today as Mike was telling us about one soldier who came home just days ago. Within 12 hours of returning home he got into an argument with his wife, started drinking, decided to drive, at some point was running from the police and wrecked his car. They air lifted him to the hospital and he is in ICU. I have no idea who this soldier is but he, and his family, need our prayers. I guess sometimes coming home can be harder than staying on the battle field. Not all homecomings have happy endings.
Ours, by the grace of God, has the happiness that most want. We are extremely thankful and grateful.
